Jennifer & Jason - Little Miracles

The Heart Of Jennifer & Jason’s Wedding Ceremony:

Little Miracles In The Moment

When I first met Jennifer & Jason’s family, their four year-old son spent a good amount of time earnestly touring me through his most important toys, and his little sister said goodbye by kissing me on the knee. To say that their family is adorable and sweet is an understatement!

Their wedding passage was about this sweetness and the fact that they were feeling pretty blissed out about being parents. They wanted a romantic ceremony that focused on best friendship, family and true love.

One of the most miraculous things I've ever seen while officiating happened during their ceremony - right before the ring exchange, Jennifer handed her bouquet to her Maid of Honor and as she did, a bright yellow butterfly landed on it. We all gasped, not believing our eyes, and then it got even better - a second yellow butterfly landed on the bouquet next to the first, then the two flew off together, spiraling around each other as if they were dancing as they flew upward. Nature literally blessed the ring exchange.

We didn’t get pics of the butterflies gosh darn it, but you can see their photo story below and the moment just before the butterfly landed on the bouquet!

Setting The Scene

First, you’ve got to meet the kids because they are a big part of this experience.

And these photos are so cute, it would be a shame not to include them.

Stone Mountain Lodge is a really cool spot for a ceremony. It’s nestled up against red rock cliffs and there are cabins that family can stay in right on the property.

Let’s Get It Started

The processional started with Jason walking his grandparents, then doubling back and walking his mom down the aisle.

Then our Best Man and Maid of Honor walking our oldest little one down the aisle. Then our youngest little one in a red wagon pulled by her cousins.

Jennifer walked with her father, and the moment she and Jason hugged as the ceremony started was one of my favorite moments of the entire ceremony.

Ceremony Highlights

We expressed the depth of connection that Jennifer & Jason feel with two readings, one from The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo at the beginning of the ceremony and one from Kahlil Gibran as a blessing on their ring exchange.

I shared some sweet snippets from their family life - images of singing cheesy songs on road trips with the kids and roasting marshmallows by the camp fire.

Jennifer and Jason kept their ceremony very simple too. In addition to the readings it was simply I Do’s, vows that they wrote themselves, then Rings.

Oh and here’s the photo right before the butterfly landed on Jennifer’s bouquet!

Married!

Congratulations, Jennifer & Jason!

May you continue to feel the bliss of your connection and of family. May you create a lifetime of memories with your children, and may they continue to learn and grow and dream big. May you continue to live in the sweetness of the present moment and to cherish every day for the rest of your years to come.
