Alexa & Austin had the good fortune of an amazing sunset and vibrant spring flowers on their day. This matched their lovely connection, their lovely family and the hilarious and playful antics of their son who was a big part of their ceremony and celebration. Their day is a great example of the amphitheater as a wonderful setting for a family experience.

Their gallery shows what they chose to do at the amphitheater to spark ideas for your own day!

  • Purple & Yellow Spring Wildflowers

They chose the height of spring for their date, and this often means lots of purple and yellow wildflowers in the surrounding forest and meadows.

  • Sunset Light

It was also an amazing evening for sunset light. This can’t be guaranteed since it’s up to Mother Nature, but it’s one of the potential gifts of a sunset wedding.

  • Simple Processional Down The Curvy Side Ramp

There are three ways to have a processional at Sunrise Amphitheater, and Alexa chose the curvy ramp walk around the side of the amphitheater. Austin walked, then their son walked, then Alexa with her father.

  • Sand Ceremony

This is a great way to give kids or parents a meaningful role in the ceremony. In this case it was a fun an exciting activity for Alexa & Austin’s son. He got to pour the sand that symbolically represents the strengths of their family, and you can see how proud he is of the creation!

  • Ceremony On Stage, Guests On Stone Seating

This is an example of the classic Sunrise Amphitheater configuration: ceremony on the stage with guests on the stone seating. It was just the two of them up there, with their son joining throughout.

  • Their Son Witnessed Their License

You don’t need witnesses on your license in Colorado, but many couples have witnesses sign for posterity. In this case, Alexa & Austin’s son was the official witness :)

  • Family Photos

As always, Sunrise Amphitheater is the perfect setting for tons of family photos. I included a small sample of those below. Our photographers will take photos of all the various combinations of family members that you want.

Note this is just a few of their photos - if you do a package with us, your gallery will have lots more!
