Emily & Nico’s day came with an overcast sky so we couldn’t see the sunset, but wow their connection and vitality and all-around joy lit up the photos. These two brought their closest family for a beautiful ceremony with meaningful moments of guest participation and live acoustic music. They also chose to do a romantic first look, plus choreographed an incredibly romantic first dance.
Their gallery shows what they chose to do at the amphitheater to spark ideas for your own day!
A Forest First Look
There’s a forest meadow near the amphitheater that’s perfect for a first look, and that’s how Emily & Nico chose to start before their ceremony.
Small Group, Reserved Spot
With just four guests, they could have eloped anywhere in Colorado, but they liked that the amphitheater is a location that can be reserved.
Guest Seating In The Inner Circle
They chose a more intimate feel for the ceremony, with Emily & Nico onstage and their guests seated in the inner circle on rented chairs.
Floral Decor
You can’t have an arch or any kind of structure at the amphitheater, but you CAN have floral arrangements in pots that sit on the ground. You can see a great example of that in Emily & Nico’s ceremony here.
Trail Processional
They used the side trail for their processional - a bit gentler walk than the main staircase. First Nico walked with his mom, then Emily with her dad.
Live Acoustic Music
Every once in a while a couple chooses to have a live musician and it’s such a special touch. Emily & Nico chose to have a professional violinist who played during their processional.
They Wrote Their Own Vows
They used my Vow Adventure Kit to write their own vows and there was not a dry eye in the amphitheater by the time they were done sharing from the heart.
Meaningful Guest Participation
During the ceremony, Nico’s father brought them the rings in a special pouch, and another guest brought Nico the special book from which he read his vows.
Romantic First Dance
These two had an entire choreographed first dance and wow it was so beautiful and romantic, especially right after their ceremony.
Dads As Witnesses
You don’t have to have witnesses in Colorado, but often our couples do because it’s meaningful. In this case it was Emily’s dad and Nico’s dad. I love watching Emily & Nico together in the background as everyone signs :)
Family Photos
As always, Sunrise Amphitheater is the perfect setting for tons of family photos. I included a small sample of those below. Our photographers will take photos of all the various combinations of family members that you want.
