Casey & Ryan chose a fall ceremony and had subtle, beautiful sunset light during their first look and throughout their time at the amphitheater. They also had amazing sunrise light because these two were up for an adventure - a sunrise photo shoot first thing in the morning the day after their ceremony. They also made some unique choices for processional and to have all of their guests with them on the amphitheater stage so that they could have meaningful family participation throughout the ceremony.
Their gallery shows what they chose to do at the amphitheater to spark ideas for your own day…
Romantic Sunrise Photos - The Next Morning!
You’ll see these at the end of the gallery because instead of a Lost Gulch Overlook sunrise photo shoot before a morning ceremony (which is typically when we do it), they had a sunset ceremony, then got up the next morning for a Lost Gulch Overlook sunrise photo shoot newly married.
Hilltop First Look
There’s a really cool hill right next to the amphitheater - you walk up a trail through the forest and there’s a clearing at the top that’s perfect for a first look. Casey & Ryan did their first look there, and had some gorgeous fall setting-sun light as it was happening.
Unique Processional
Even with a small group, Casey & Ryan still did a processional, and even more special - it was the two of them walking in together.
Intimate Ceremony With Everyone Onstage
Since they had a small group, they chose the most intimate kind of ceremony at the amphitheater - all your guests with you in a semi-circle on the stage. If your group is small, seating them on the stone benches can feel a bit too far away. So if you want, you can have them right on stage with you.
Family Ring Blessing
While I shared a reading and a fun little story about Casey & Ryan, we had their family members pass their wedding bands so they could each say a silent prayer, blessing or positive thought for the rings. When it was time for the ring exchange, the bands had been loved up by everyone. A great example of how the amphitheater setting encourages meaningful participation since couples almost always bring guests with them to this spot.
Intimate Ceremony On Stage
They had guests with them on stage for the ceremony - this keeps your experience intimate when you have a small group at the big amphitheater.
Hand Fasting
They did hand fasting - you can see pics if that’s of interest. It’s symbolic of your bond and is also a great opportunity to have guests participate by handing us the cord or ribbons used.
They Wrote Their Own Vows
Casey & Ryan used my Vow Adventure Kit to write their own vows from scratch, then read them from cards while their hands were symbolically hand fasted together, emphasizing their connection.
Family Photos
As always, Sunrise Amphitheater is the perfect setting for tons of family photos. I included a small sample of those below. Our photographers will take photos of all the various combinations of family members that you want.
Note this is just a few of their photos - if you do a package with us, your gallery will have lots more!
